Sir Barley: A Schnauzer and A Gentleman

June 5, 2013

Hi Friends,

My heart has been sad this week. My boyfriend and best friend Sir Barley passed away on Sunday. I have too many thoughts about Barley to write them out right now. They are all kind of muddled in my brain.

I wanted to share this photo his mom took of him recently on “Barley Day”. He was a handsome silver schnauzer and a very good boy. His mom is left with an empty space in her heart and his brother Dougal is lonely without his big brother. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers.

Barley will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten. I know he is waiting for me on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Hi Friends,

It’s officially mud season! Mom got a Paw Wash for me and Happy. It came this morning. Happy and I have had our paws washed twice with it. At first it looked scary! But it was actually fun! This is what it is http://www.thepawwash.com

Mom bought mine somewhere else. I’ll let you know how it works out!

Take a minute to answer my poll please! I’ll be honest, I only like to poop at home! So, the question is: Where do you like to poop?

The story is disturbingly familiar.

A teenage girl goes to some kind of get-together, maybe a party.

She is raped by multiple assailants.

The rape is photographed and distributed via social media.

The girl is subjected to horrifying acts of bullying and shaming. She is branded a slut. Her life becomes a living hell.

This girl is not Steubenville's Jane Doe, although their stories bear a remarkable resemblance.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” Martin Luther King Jr   Friends, I feel The Belle Jar expressed anything I would want to say about this. This is happening far too often. It's tragic. Sadie
