Diamond Pet Foods Dog Food Recall
Hi Everyone,
Please check your doggies food today and make sure it is not effected by the Diamond Pet Foods Voluntary Recall. They are recalling certain foods because of potential Salmonella contamination. (their words) They have voluntarily recalled a lot of foods that are sold in many US States and Canada. Please follow this link to check your dogs’ food. The website gives you instructions on how to check your bag of food.
Some of the brands effected are:
- Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul
- Country Value
- Diamond
- Diamond Naturals
- Premium Edge
- Professional
- 4Health
- Taste of the Wild
- Kirkland Signature (sold at Costco)
I am really sad as the food Happy and I eat is one of the brands recalled. Happy has had an upset tummy for a day or so and has been drinking a lot of water. Mom is going to take our food back today. When we tried to call the phone number on the website – dad found out they are closed for the weekend. I am surprised they don’t have people in there this weekend since so many families are going to be effected by this recall…
I hope you have a good day and your doggies are healthy and safe.

Want your pup to sit up, roll over, or stay down? These real meat dog treats combine real meat and organic wheat grass that makes a very tasty morsel. Not to mention they come in three great flavors to choose from. Why wheat grass? Ever see those people getting wheat grass shots and wonder why they…
Mmmm Delicious!
Pros: Digests Well, Tasty, Easy To Chew, Nutritional, Fun
Best Uses: Special Reward, Older Dogs, Larger Dogs, Smaller Dogs, Everyday
Describe Yourself: Long-time Pet Owner
My mom gave me and Happy these treats to try, they are delicious! As soon as mom opened the bag, Happy and I got very excited. After we each tried one we were pushing each other out of the way to get more. Mom thinks that these treats would be useful as a training treat. She also likes that they have healthy ingredients and aren’t high in calories or fat. I think they are a high quality, well made, tasty treat for the cost of them.

Where I have been…
Hi Friends,
I really appreciate you stopping by this past month even when I didn’t put up any new posts. My family was away for Spring Break, and I was babysat by my grandparents. My grandparents don’t know anything about computers so they couldn’t help me at all. Now that we are all back to normal, I will try my best to get back to regular posts.
Also, please click on the box on the side that links to Nip and Bones. Nip and Bones is my friend Baby Patches pet store and they have great products, not to mention wonderful customer service! I have always been happy with anything I have ever received from Nip and Bones. You will notice when you check them out how beautiful Baby Patches is! Thanks for checking Nip and Bones out!

My Kitties and their food…
Hi Friends,
I have talked before about my kitties and their addiction kitty crack kibble. (read here) Mom had been feeding them Weruva cat food exclusively to get them off the kibble and onto wet food. It worked and their weight has gone down to healthy weights for both of them. Chester seems to have completely kicked his kibble addiction. Princess on the other hand is still sneaking kibble out of my bowl. She is quite brazen and will push me out of the way to access my dish. She started out being very subtle about her love of my kibble, however as time has passed she has gotten pretty aggressive!
This is a photo of her before she lost her weight pushing her way in to eat my food. She says that this symbol “&” means Princess and she is allowed to eat with us! What do you think?

Happy’s Turn
Hi Friends,
As promised here is Happy having his bath. As you can tell by the expression on his face, he doesn’t think mom knows what she is doing! He told me, he doesn’t believe mom knows how to groom us properly! He wishes he didn’t get into all that trouble at the groomers last time. Anyway, enjoy his photos!

Here I am…
Hi Friends,
Here I am. My home-groomed-self. Mom still has to trim my legs. I look messy because I was out rolling around in the snow yesterday. I think tonight she’ll trim my legs. Next time she’ll clip my body hair shorter. She was nervous about trimming it super short the first time grooming me. I think she did a good job overall. My family likes my new look. Clearly she is embracing the schnauzerness of my schnoodliness and that’s okay – some of my best friends are schnauzers!

Where I’ve Been…
Hi Friends,
Sorry I’ve been so quiet here lately. I guess I haven’t had much to talk about really. Our weather is really strange in Snowland this year. We’ve had warm springlike temperatures and then we get hit with a snow storm like today. We’ve had snow this winter that melts not long after it arrives because our temperatures keep creeping up into the spring zone. I would say that I am tired of winter, but we haven’t really had a winter this year. I don’t think my dad even had to use his snow blower one time this season.
Sadly, with Happy getting sick at the groomers – my dad decided to stick his nose into my business. I will be getting “home groomed” from now on. My mom will be grooming me. Dad decided that we could save money if mom grooms me and Happy. I don’t think he had paid too much attention to what Happy and I were up to – but that event with Happy getting so sick brought it all to his attention. We had our first go at it last week. First Mom watched some interesting grooming videos on YouTube and got some advice from my friend Sir Barley’s mom. Then Mom headed out to the pet store and bought some clippers. She did a pretty good job. I sat still for it and was a very good girl. Mom has been snipping at my fur the past few days trying to fix things she missed. Tomorrow she is going to fix up my legs and then we’ll post some photos. She gave me more of a “schnauzer cut” – especially on my head. Everyone at home says I look pretty cute. I hope so. She is going to do Happy next month. I am sure she’ll take photos of that for me to post!
Also with Dad’s new interest in us pets, Dad has decided that mom should research our foods. He says just because the pet store says something expensive is best, it doesn’t mean it is true. So, Mom has been researching cat and dog foods to see what is comparable at a lower price point than what we’ve been eating. I have a feeling that the title of this article might have prompted this!
Talk to you soon!

The Remains of the Bread…
Shh friends,
Don’t tell my mom I’m on the computer. Happy and I got in big trouble yesterday. Mom and my humanboy made a loaf of bread – and Happy took it off the counter while it was cooling and we ATE IT!!! WE ATE THE BREAD!!!! It was really delicious!
Anyway, I better go for now!
Woowoowoo!
